SALARY
The initial salary placement range is $56,764- $85,940 depending on applicable education and experience. Initial salary placement will be determined by the District Office of Human Resources in accordance with the faculty collective bargaining agreement and is not negotiable.
BENEFITS
The District is a participating agency in the CalPERS Hospital and Medical Care plan which allows eligible employees to select from several plans for their hospital and medical care. The District pays the full cost of the employee-only health insurance premium for the plan selected by the employee. A middle school in Ventura is looking for a part-time Italian teacher to lead their pilot Italian language elective program. We gave the school a grant to start the program and was slated to begin in September but we couldn’t find a credentialed teacher. Hopefully an announcement to your members can help us find a teacher. Please find details below. This is a pilot class and if successful will grow. Deanza MS feeds into Ventura HS which has a really strong Italian program.

El Cerrito High School has an immediate need for a Spanish teacher. El Cerrito has 2 semesters per year, with a block schedule so the second week in January, there are new classes with new students, but a teacher is needed for the students to finish out this semester.
