The World Language Community mourns the loss of Anne Jensen. Anne was a CLTA member who was a University Supervisor and Methods Instructor at San Jose State University. She also taught French in the Palo Alto Unified School District and is a Past President of the American Association of Teachers of French. This past January, Anne was named Commandeur des Palmes Académique by the French Embassy.
Anne was completely dedicated to the teaching and learning of all World Languages, especially French, and the support of all language professionals. CLTA awarded Anne two of our top honors: The Hal Wingard Lifetime Achievement Award in 2015 and the Lorraine D’Ambruoso Award For Meritorious Service To The Profession in 2020.
Her passing is a blow to the language community. She will be remembered with affection and love by all who had the pleasure of working with her.
